These are a classic DIY Christmas present that is easy to personalise and make special. I've made White Chocolate & Cranberry Cookies in mine but I've given the option to make plain Chocolate Chunk as well. You can print the PDF below if you want to attach it to your gift and write a special note.
To make these cookie jars, you will need:
A jar (at least 500ml but I would recommend a 1L jar
Baking ingredients (see recipe PDF below)
Ribbon/decorations
Tag/label
Make sure you jar is COMPLETELY dry. Otherwise the ingredients will stick and it won't be long lasting in the cupboard.
Layer your ingredients into the jar, starting with flour and following with the other heavier ingredients.
Put the lid on the jar and tie a ribbon around it or decorate as you please. Put a name tag on it and pop it under the tree!
Remember if you're putting under the tree, consider the temperature as any chocolate in the jar may melt.
