I really don't know why this is called hedgehog slice. Does it look like a hedgehog? Not at all in my opinion. But it is a great combination of chewy and crispy, and it will be lucky to last long in any household.
Makes 16 100g butter 1 x 395g can condensed milk 500g plain vanilla biscuits (e.g. superwine) 100g desiccated coconut 50g dark cocoa powder 80g butter, at room temperature 300g icing sugar 30g dark cocoa powder 2-3 Tbsp milk Line a slice dish with baking paper (about 20x30cm). Heat butter and condensed cream in a small pot on low heat for about 5 minutes, until butter has melted and mixture starts to boil. Place biscuits in a food processor and blitz to a rough crumb. Alternatively, place them in a sealed plastic bag and smash with a rolling pin. Place biscuit crumbs, coconut and first measure of cocoa powder into a large bowl. Pour over condensed milk mixture and stir well to combine. Transfer to prepared dish and press down firmly with your hand or the bottom of a measuring cup. Place in fridge to cool. Place second measure of butter in a bowl and use electric beaters to beat for 2-3 minutes, until pale. Add icing sugar, second measure of cocoa and milk and beat until light and fluffy, about 4 minutes. Spread icing onto biscuit base and leave to chill in fridge for 30 minutes before serving.
